Alloy quenched and tempered steel has a high degree of purity and is suitable for applications with large cross-sections and high requirements.
Alloy quenched and tempered steel is mainly used in the automotive and aerospace industries and in general mechanical and plant engineering. Whether crankshafts, connecting rods, axles, screws or shafts for power transmission: Alloy quenched and tempered steel also withstands high and dynamic stresses.
By combining it with, for example, chromium, nickel, molybdenum and titanium, tempered steel is alloyed. The higher the alloy content, the more corrosion-resistant the tempered steel. Due to its medium carbon content, alloy quenched and tempered steel is suitable for tempering and hardening. This again significantly improves the material properties.
