1.4571

Stainless bar steel in rolled, forged or bright version, such as in different pipe conditions according to DIN EN 10088, DIN EN 10222, DIN EN 10272, DIN EN 10357, DIN EN 10296 und DIN EN 10217 and AD2000.

Material 1.4571 is one of the austenitic corrosion resistant chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels (V4A). A very high corrosion resistance makes use in contact with corrosive media possible, which is achieved by a setting of the carbon by titanium. This also achieves higher strengths at higher temperatures compared to 1.4404.

Typical applications include devices in the food and chemical industries, e.g. for pressurised containers. The polishability of 1.4571 is only limited, which is why decorative purposes such as cladding should better be realised in 1.4404.

Use at very low and also high temperatures is possible. Tempering or hardening of this comparatively soft material cannot take place because the austenitic structure of this material is maintained over all temperature ranges and no transformation takes place. The solution annealed and quenched version ensures homogeneous properties defined in the relevant DIN standards.
