1.4541

Stainless bar steel in rolled or forged version according to DIN EN 10088, DIN EN 10222 and DIN EN 10272 such as untreated or annealed pipes according to DIN EN 10217 / AD2000.

Material 1.4541 is one of the austenitic corrosion resistant chromium-nickel-molybdenum steels (V4A). Its high corrosion resistance is achieved by bonding the carbon using titanium. Its welding work without major risk of intergranular corrosion makes material 1.4541 a typical representative for welded constructions in the chemical industry and here also for pressure equipment. This grade is also often found in the food industry.

Tempering or hardening of this comparatively soft material cannot take place because the austenitic structure of this material is maintained over all temperature ranges and no transformation takes place. The solution annealed and quenched version ensures homogeneous properties defined in the relevant DIN standards.
